Customer data
The challenge
Netconomy was managing the access rights and identities of its employees manually, which led to inefficiencies and security risks as the company grew in size and complexity. Manual administration made it difficult to adapt quickly to organizational changes and increased the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive data.
In addition, the handling of entry and exit processes posed a major challenge. New employees needed quick access to relevant systems and applications, while it had to be ensured that access rights were revoked immediately when employees left in order to minimize security risks.
The administration and mapping of authorizations and access rights became increasingly complex. Rights had to be defined for each person not only according to projects and roles, but also according to team affiliation, customer and individual approvals. Manually managing this multidimensional authorization matrix became almost impossible.
Another complex aspect was Netconomy’s hybrid way of working, where projects were often carried out in collaboration with customers’ employees. This required precise management of access rights for these external employees, which made manual administration even more difficult and opened up potential security gaps. In addition, there were constant changes of employees within the organization and in projects, which also resulted in automated rights changes in various external systems and further complicated administration.
The solution
With the introduction of the Goldright Identity Manager, Netconomy was able to automate the management of user identities and access rights and make it more efficient. The solution offers a central 360° user matrix, automatic provisioning of authorizations and audit-proof documentation of all user activities. In addition, the low-code configuration enables flexible adaptation to specific company requirements. Thanks to the centralized administration, clear reports on all access rights in all systems can be generated at any time, which also optimizes the efficient use of license fees.
“The Goldright Identity Manager has significantly simplified our processes and given us the agility we need to react quickly to organizational changes. Security risks have been minimized by automating the onboarding and offboarding process. In addition, we can now easily integrate external partners into projects without compromising on data security. Thanks to the automated rights management, we have significantly reduced the burden on IT administration, which has led to a noticeable increase in efficiency in our company.”
